So, my intent with this blog was to post more than just convention overviews. I guess I'll start with this. I'm planning / staffing Kin-Yoobi Con 2010, and here's some of the info on it.
2010 is Kin-Yoobi Con's 4th year running, but this is my first year staffing. I attended Kin-Yoobi Con in both 2008 and 2009. Kin-Yoobi Con is run by a group called Game-Zone Recreation, but my involvement in the group is pretty much limited to the convention. I've been wanting to help with the site, but for several reasons, it just hasn't happened yet.
In March of 2010, the Game-Zone Recreation website got a complete overhaul, and had a lot more content added. http://gzronline.com/
Currently, Kin-Yoobi Con is set to be held at Chabot College, Friday and Saturday, August 6th - 7th, 2010. Pre-Registry is $8 for the 6th and $12 for the 7th, and badge prices at the door are $10 for the 6th and $15 for the 7th.
Events include live bands, anime-themed game shows, video game tournaments, a cosplay dating auction, and a cosplay contest.
